Profiteering???

Ridiculous! That's the first word that came to my mind. Went to Little India, with my wife, to buy dinner. On the our way back, my wife wanted to buy flowers for prayers. Usually we buy 2 pcs of flower ball( strung flowers about a meter long rolled up into a ball), which cost $1.00 a piece. My wife approached the shop lady and asked for 2 pcs as usual. Immediately she said 1 ball is $1.50 now! We were surprised. Flower price gone up? OK, but even then by 50%? Now, that's ridiculous is it. Why not $1.20 or $1.30, why must be $1.50. What do you think? Of course prices have gone up for a lot of things, if not all. But isn't this too much. Anyway my wife went ahead and bought the 2 pcs flower ball saying "no choice ". Oh but there is a choice..... Just say a prayer without flowers. God won't mind!
